BUYING A BUSINESS

In IMBS We know it's a frustrating experience trying to find the right business, that's why we have structured a step-by-step process to help you in this task. Whether you're an individual or a company, our business intermediaries can show you how we can help you find the business that meets your needs to Buying a good business for you.....!

SELLING A BUSINESS

Seriously Considering Selling your Business? IMBS has the knowledge, experience for more than 15 years and capability to act on your behalf to obtain the best deal possible to sale. We are always looking for a win-win situation and a best buy for all parties. From inception to a successful close and beyond, we are tenacious in preparing the business for sale by determining the price of the business, and structuring the terms for the business transfer, that will be acceptable to both the seller and to the buyer.

BUSINESS VALUATION

Why Obtain an Independent Business Valuation?
Valuing a business is more of an art than a science and is a complex and painstaking process. Many factors have to be considered in valuing a business, such as future earnings potential, asset analysis, and environmental influences related to economic and industry conditions. IMBS will reflect the years of hard work in accumulating a business’s tangible and intangible assets, a business owner must use much more than tax returns and financial statements as the basis for the financial presentation of their business.  While using tax returns and financial statements may be good for tax purposes, they do not fully indicate the business goodwill or intangible value.

TRANSITION PLANNING

Why Develop an Exit Plan?
Waiting till its time to depart your company is no time to plan an exit strategy. Surprises happen. IMBS know someone who had to sell their business unexpectedly. The reason could be an accident or a serious health problem. Or, it could be the offer of a lifetime from your manager to buy-out the company, a colleague, or enterprising entrepreneur. Having an exit strategy enables you to function when the unexpected happens. Keep in mind that selling your business during the first half of the baby boomer bubble (2005-2010) would have provided the best chance of maximizing its value, since the younger baby boomers who are retiring from corporate jobs will be active buyers. It typically will take 2 years of focused activity to get your business ready to sell at a reasonable price. Further, the wave of private business owners seeking to retire will seriously strain, and possibly overwhelm, the available supply of buyers and the available capital for business transactions as these owners approach retirement...so time is of essence.
